About Lindsay

I’m the health teacher for a village of about 2,000 in Moldova, where I teach 5th through 11th grades, run a health club and also organize public health seminars for adults and professional school students.

I’m also digging for stories to post on this blog and pitch to American and European news outlets.

Before this, I worked as a newspaper reporter in Seattle, first for the Seattle Times and then for the Snohomish County Tribune Newspapers. I’ve also lived in Beijing, where I covered artistic gymnastics and blogged at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games, and London, where I reported for the Associated Press bureau.

I received a degree in print and digital journalism from the University of Missouri in 2009.

My health education experience includes working with sexual assault and domestic violence victims in hospitals, launching a program to put predatory drug testing kits in fraternity houses on MU’s campus and educating women in the Greek community about heath issues, such as violence against women and healthy eating.

Looking forward to hearing all about your experiences.

  3. Nice post! It all looks delicious, and as the Moldovans always claimed, foarte natural. It is a wonderful time to be there with the harvest coming in. Best wishes.
